I like them primarily for the aesthetic, that box section looks so clean, but it also makes rigid aluminium bikes with stiff geometry like the Klein and Cannondale much more comfortable and fun, those rims with 2.2's pretty much dampen any vibrations, plus those tyres are fast rolling and light, so performance is barely impacted at all. they are just nicely wide, not fat bike retarded wide, but wide enough to make a difference.
