I use old tubes regularly. but you still have to sand the rubber and use rubber cement just FYI

sand the tube AND the patch. use extra pressure after applying patch

I know why I want 38mm, they are the biggest tires I can fit with fenders. More comfortable, typically more durable, etc... They are going on sport touring bike and comfort is a priority over speed.
Yes I know I can ride a road bike on anything. But 25's on rocky paths blow ass. I do it all the time.
Yes I know gravel is a vague term. I'd be riding on dirt paths that quickly become littered with 1 inch rocks and occasionally turn into literal railway ballast. But again I wouldn't be riding on that shit for too long at a time.
I just wanted to know what 38mm you guys rock. Off the top of my head I know Gravelking slicks (previously mentioned) and Paselas.
