not to mention the clusterfuck that is the smith st. interchange since the parkwood tram station went in. i support the idea of a crossing of the coomera river though. at the moment almost all traffic over the river has to go on the motorway or through that spui with 6 adjoining roads. like
>>1820136 said, it's a way to fill the area with the same type of housing that's going in around pimpama/northern coomera - aka the eave-to-eave suburban slums. when cross river rail opens, hopefully the infill stations take some demand off of the m1 with the bris commuters. idk what will help with getting people southbound tho other than improving heavy rail frequency to connect with the tram/ higher frequency buses. there's still the issue of bus services north of helensvale being absolute dogshit especially with all the new development
