What type of bike should I get with a budget of $400-500? I've only had MTBs my whole life, but mine got stolen recently. I know I would be fine if I got another MTB, but I mostly ride on roads and concrete bike paths, so it seems inefficient. At the same time, I do go on the occasional gravel path and there are some rather rocky sections around where I live too (picture related). A hybrid with no front suspension seems like a good idea, but I'm not sure if it would be able to handle such terrain without making my hands go numb.
