>>1715374>What surface are you riding on that requires such large tires?Not my bike but I ride a 90's mtb to work every day, my commute is about 45% tarmac of varying quality, 30% packed dirt and gravel, 10% cobbled alleyways and 15% rough as fuck poorly maintained industrial estate pathways.
I use semi slicks at 1.95'' and it's lovely, quick enough for me, riding isn't a chore and I'm not in a race to get to or from work, but more importantly it's comfortable and enjoyable, I actually look forward to the non tarmac bits.
