>>1460974Beautiful shade of red. Great bike overall.
>>1461017Good luck with the TP. Based bikes.
>>1461032Do you fold it regularly (like commuting via train or putting it in the trunk of your car) or is that just a "nice to have" feature your rarely use?
>>1461034Looks good. No expert on mtbs, though. Is this for cross-country riding?
Pic related: Newest addition to my stable. 1991 Koga Miyata Exerciser, bought from the original owner. He even had the original paper catalogue with the shop sticker still on it. Bike is low-mileage and perfectly maintained. Originally came with a full 600 tricolor (6400 series) 2 x 7-speed groupset with frame shifters, previous owner upgraded to Ultegra 6500-series STI, cassette and RD somewhen at the turn of the millennium. Other mods by PO include Ritchey WCS seatpost, Cinelli bars, Giant ext pro adjustable quill stem, rigida dp18 rims.
I changed the 7-speed chainset and FD to the matching 6500-series 9-speed components because the 9-speed chain tended to get stuck between the front chain rings. I could have kept the FD, but autism kicked in. Tires are 25c Michelin Pro4 Endurance, very tight fit at the front, 1mm to the fork crown. Yea I know the valve stems are too short...
To do: Ultegra 6500-series brakes with cartridge pads (no technical reason other than autism), so the Ultegra 6500 groupset will be complete except for the hubs. Ritchey Classic saddle in black (never tested it but I kinda like the look). Will probably get a 12-27 cassette (now 12-23) because I'm a person of size. Still debating on whether I'll keep the Cinelli bars or switch to something wider and comfier. For touring I have another bike, this one is just for quick rides around town, though. Requesting bar tape suggestions. Must be thicc, bonus for color matching.
Thanks for reading my blog. Take care.
