you don't really put grease on the brakes.
"de-greaser" means like "grease remover." Just household products are fine, there are industrial and bike-specific brands too. The one I use is a household kind called Simple Green over here. There are a lot that are made with oranges and smell that way, Citra-solv etc. An all-purpose cleaner for counter-tops etc is workable, but those have sanitizing stuff you don't need and are not quite as strong. They're fine if that's what you have, tho.
