I think they START at around $3,250- not counting 'all the extras' like frame mounts and braze-ons on the stays for the spokes and all. But you CAN buy 'em new, if that's what you mean.

A Waterford (formerly the Schwinn Paramount factory), costs $2,500ish for a very basic-looking handmade 'custom bike' that's an R-33. Their Artisan models have fancy lugs and go for the exact same as what Champan's asking.
