Luckily the seller had made the bike barely rideable, it rode quite well but had no brakes sand only the chainring derailleur worked, about 6 miles through some lovely countryside in the sunshine, stopped at two village pubs for a few pints and a pie on the way, honestly one of the nicest rides I've had for ages.
Eventually got it home, washed off the surface dirt and it's actually in great condition. Seat post not stuck which is a problem with these, some play with the headset, wheels ran true, tyres surprisingly supple and free of perishing, plenty of chips and scratches but no dents.
It needs various bolts and the pedals derusting, new grips, brake blocks and cables, rear derailleur cable, inner tubes just to be safe and a full BB, headset and hubs bearing service.
