It can reach all 9 indexes but there seems to be "slop" in between them. Like instead of 123456789 it's 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9, where each hyphen is the "slop" where I can wiggle the shifter up or down, with an effect on the derailleur. It's kind of like there is a small zone of friction shifting in-between each index.
What gives? Is there a special way to reinstall the shifter? Should the nut holding it together be tighter or looser?
This has a negative effect on shifting, I can only get the indexing to work perfectly in one direction. Or I index and then fiddle with the lever till it stops making noise.
