I ride it for tra/n/sportation.
That's the value of any bike at its base level.
Taking that away from it will never add value to it.
I ride it to training and I ride it to racing. Sometimes I'll just do my training efforts on the street on it.
What's cringe to me is when people take a car and load their bike in the back. 4 miles to the track, unload the car, warm up on the track for 4 miles before racing//training. then cool down after for about 4 miles before loading the bike up and driving 4 miles home.
