It got up to 35C yesterday so I started a few hours later in the evening for a finish in the dark. The temperature was great around 8:30, but 9:15 rising humidity cancelled out the drop in temperature.
I got a reminder that headlights don't work well on oiled gravel roads. The light just seems to bounce off or get absorbed. Even with 2500 lumens I wasn't seeing much.
Took an 800 meter detour down a pipeline construction dirt track in a field to where they bored a pipe through a motorway embankment. Flushed out a bunch of rabbits in the dark.
