i know that there is generally a distrust of cheap chinese stuff but do you think that the bottom brackets are really that bad? there are some that aren't suspiciously cheap like from rockbros for instance. i got a great deal on a wheels mfg bottom bracket but unfortunately i didn't realize that i could have gotten the MTB version (the only difference is the dust cover sleeve) so i was limited to a grey color instead of black. the grey still looks fine next to the grey on the chain, crank spindle, pedals and chainring graphics, but i would probably go for black or silver to better match my components and dt swiss track hubs if i had the choice. in theory i could surely press in the same enduro bearings and use the same seals and washers as the wheels mfg but with different aluminium cups for aesthetic reasons. is it a meme to buy boutique bottom brackets for hundreds of dollars when there are plenty of chinese options these days or does the machining precision of the cups make such a significant difference in performance and longevity of the bearings?
