That being said, there are already some electric road and gravel bikes with the new 'Bosch Performance Line CX (4th gen.)' motor with no internal resistance and up to 625Wh battery capacity. Bulls Desert Falcon EVO, for example. This might be a viable solution for older and / or less fit riders who still want to go on longer rides or ride in steeper terrain than their health or fitness level might allow. Still heavy as fuck and very expensive, but the targeted demographic will be fine with either. So I wouldn't demonize electric road or gravel bikes in general, but in terms of concept and execution, there's indeed a wide range from sensible to severely retarded.
