>>1673357>>1673359Don't overthink it. These MTB's are simply the best shitters you can buy for sub 100 dollars. Parts are easy to replace with generic parts that are widely available (compared to 80's/later bikes), and because of 90's MTB boom there simply is much more of these bikes available. Nothing wrong with 00's mtbs, they are basically the same with alu frames, but I rarely see those go for neglectable price.
Of course it is also a trend right now, sort of like fixies, hybrids or gravels. Atleast it doesn't cost at all.
Picked up pic related for 70 euros, which is my next project. Looking forward to clean it up.
