>>1586909i think ev's could be used to make the electric grid more efficient overall. take nuclear power for example. one of its drawbacks is that it can't be throttled, or rather doing so can take days. so reactors have to be run at a compromised output. they produce too much power at night and not enough during peak load times. the fact everyone might soo own what is essentially a massive power bank with some pretty clever charging controllers may well allow us to have a more or less constant load on the power grid and thus allow us to optimise generator outputs.
