>>1668815>50 or even $100 would be worth it if it would fix the problem. In reality it's just trial and error on memes. Relative to a cheapish bike it's totally absurd. This is as much to show what's possible from anon's suggestions on a similar bike.
>Relative to a cheapish bike it's totally absurd.I see where you're going with this, but I disagree. Say, a used set of bars on ebay, try them out, sell them for the same price if they don't work and try something different.
Another example. An expensive saddle, like a brooks wouldn't necessarily be unreasonable for anon, because he can move that to a new bike when he upgrades.
I'm curious on what your approach to the hand pain is, if he thinks the overall fit is good, and you're skipping grips, bar ends, touring bars, and clip on sorts of things. All in on a new bike?
>>1668609>what's stopping me from just buying a gravel bike and a road wheelset to swap out when I feel like riding roads?A sense of decency and good taste. Seriously though, gravel geo overlaps with endurance road.
>>1668617Loaded touring on mud... I'd actually consider 29'er wide mtb tires. Take a look at tour divide setups.
>>1668644I don't like these because having the friction change as you change angles is disconcerting, although the pathfinder is shallow enough that I don't think it matters.
>>1668824Was he actually able to pedal it? Maybe downhill only?
