Where to buy tiny tiny springs, no minimum order?
Dia-Compe ENE downtube shifters, with the rachet mechanism. Today on the ride, one of them felt different. Stopped to check it out, and the spot weld holding the rear cover on had broke loose. The pawl was still in there, but the spring wasn't.
Back at the house, took the broken on off, had a further look at it, measured the recess where the spring sits. Had the bright idea to take the other one apart, and just measure that spring....
I got the measurements (uncompressed length, OD, wire thickness) but as I was going to put it back BOING.... can't find it.
I live in a small city, and no hardware store has anything like this. I found a place that sells suitable springs ~$1/ea, but their minimum order is $40. But I only need two (or <10, etc) tiny springs.
