The busiest are either Ostrava-Žilina-Košice, northern connection, here you can choose from 3 operators, all of them pretty cheap and fast.
Second busiest is Brno-Bratislava connection, here you can travel by 2 operators, also pretty fast. And continue to Budapest.
Then there are 2 "middle" connections, one is Hranice-Púchov, operated only by national operator and other one is Staré Město-Trenčín, in this case operated only by 1 private operator.
BTW, most of the international IC trains in this case start their journey in Prague. On all of these 4 connections.
