Reminder that shift "feel" has almost nothing to do with the thing you are using to pull cable.
If you want crisp shifting you need to invest in;
1. a quality cogset preferably with the smallest possible steps between cogs. 2-tooth shifts will ALWAYS feel better than 3-tooth shifts.
2. high-quality cables and housing, possibly supplemented with ferrules, nokons, and a jtek shiftmate. Housing ends should be properly squared off with a cutting wheel.
A perfectly tuned b-set screw is important too.
