>>1169324I remember my 1st train set. Christmas 1975 I got a set made by Tyco, several boxes of extra track, a crossing gate, a signal, and an electromagnetic log car & dumper. The wheel flanges would have been a scale foot high + those godawful hornhook couplers. The steam loco had a smoke unit in the stack and was driven by the tender. Mom's b/f built 2 loops, a trestle, & a spur on a 4'x8' piece of plywood. Man it was so much fun. :^)
