Apparently airbus is looking into a wing folding mechanism that is subpar to the boeing one but they cant use the obvious and more elegant design because of gay patent laws.
Contrary to what patent laws are supposed to do they actually just reinforce the monopoly that big corps have on manufacturing and design.
