I've been thinking about hybrid vs trekking bikes, and do hybrids really fill any purpose?
Both bikes are going to be slow as shit regardless but hybrids suck for riding far with because of the riding position and handlebars which puts too much weight on your hands for longer rides while trekking bikes are made for long rides with a more upright riding position.
Trekking bikes are also better for packing a lot of stuff on. If you want to go both far and fast then you buy a road bike and not a hybrid.
What purpose does a hybrid fill that a trekking bike won't accomplish better?
