>>1456671if you actually read the post the food that was being referred to was imported snacks and sodas that poor working class people depend on to meet challenging schedules
in socialist sweden a soda costs 1.50 for a 12oz can!
in neighboring estonia (slightly less socialism) it's less than half that
same goes for frozen pizza snacks and things like that... ironically enough farmed foods are closer in price in nordic countries, such as rice, beans, lettuce, and even imported fruits like bananas from literal banana republics that are like 80 cents.. although beef and eggs are way more expensive and i suspect it's a combination of tariffs and farming costing more
to go down one level of socialism compare the price of food between california and neighboring mexico.. the food in mexico is actually higher quality (mexican cola) and cheaper
there's specifically correlation and *causation* between socialism and the costs of popular food items, especially snack items.. nice try but your argument got btfo, although i do appreciate your actual attempt at an argument instead of ad hominem... but you could have done a cursory google search like i just did although i have friends in nordic countries that have already told me about this
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sugary_drink_tax>Seattle>Portland>Norway>we love poor people and working class so much we are going to put a horrific tax on the one treat they enjoy during and after their hard working hours #libtardlogic
mexico has one too but theirs is a lot less relative and because the starting price is lower its not as bad and still cheaper than californian colas.. my speculation is that there are some broader import taxes that are hidden in nordic countries as it's common for people to take cruise ferries to estonia apparently to get snacks, beers, and sodas for a reported 50 percent saving yet sweden is not listed on that list
