>>1844172It's just a resume filler.
Each cert costs $150 for the written, I got mine and it just beefs up my certs list. AGI exam is nearly the exact same question bank as FIA and IGI exam = FII. If you have invested $60k+ into becoming a flight instructor $300 to get 2 new certs is nearly nothing.
Same mentality as MEI, if you have to pay your way to the 25 minimum (assuming 25 sim) MEL hours for ATP you might as well get your MEI cert with it. It's an extra $1,000 for the DPE fee and MEI looks great on a resume.
>>1844023>>1844022>>1844144>You'll need to spend some of that on a bachelors degree.Don't go for your bachelors before you start flight training. It's a total waste of time and just crushes your seniority. Every year you aren't at your mainline of choice is $500k+ down the drain late in your career. Just do what alot of people do which is get to a regional as fast as possible and then go to an online college that converts your certs into credit hours. Get your degree done while you're flying the line at a regional. Having your ATP before you start school can save you years of college, and you'll already be stable at your career. 4 year degrees starting with nothing are a scam if pilot is your career path.
>>1844025If your goal is airlines then there are no niche specialities that will make you tons more money, just get there faster than the other guys and you'll make more. If your goal is something else then self sponsoring an expensive type could push you forward alot faster, or even becoming dual rated fixed / rotor makes you really valuable to the medevac companies, but you'd still end up getting paid less than the 121 world in the long run.
