>>1072365The Cardinal is a 4-seater, so its more like an "alternative 182 RG." Its a fine plane, and I really enjoyed flying her (I rented a fixed-gear one). Visibility in turns is MUCH better than most other Cessnas, since the pilot's head is farther forward of the wing's leading edge. Doors are wide like a Caravan. Less draggy, too...you throttle back, and it stays at the same speed for a few seconds. That all-moving elevator makes a huge difference...flaring is done with just a tiny tug on the yoke, else tail goes crunch. I'm pretty sure that's the main reason for its lack of popularity.... some pilots instantly hated it just because they were expecting Skyhawk feel.
