>>1871320Bianchi update: some fellow anons may recognize the frame from earlier last summer. I originally bought the bike specifically for the green wild grippers as shown on the Schwinn and was going to sell everything else. These green tires are what the Schwinn team had on their Toyota/Schwinn bikes. Anyhow, the Bianchi arrived with a mix XT m750 and Avid components. For such a high-end steel frame I had a personal problem with that. As I waited for parts to trickle in over the last four months as well as transferring XTR m950 parts of the Homegrown this Bianchi is pretty much finished (other than maybe a Roox stem and IRC XC red wall tires). Just put on the XTR front derailleur a little bit ago and did a shake down ride. The tires in pic rel are cheap alternatives until I figure out what I want.
This stupid bike is so cool now that it’s done but I think I need to sell it. On the flip side I have never seen the steel framed Bianchi in the wild, but there are tons of aluminum and titanium ones.
So yeah, full period correct XTR m950 8-spd groupset, mavic 517 ceramic rims with XTR hubs, Bianchi Nth seat, grips and cable housing, year correct SID long travel fork that matches the XTR crank arms. H8, r8, masturbate.
