Bicycles with (two wheels) are difficult to operate with a load, as they initially were designed to lighten up the momentum to achieve a better pace, so they had very little mass to carry a load and had a hard time adapting with their saddlebags and other ad ons when touring....
The bike was bulky and sloppy with these loads in places like the rear racks, and the front baskets/racks so the pace was affected to the degree that it almost seemed like you were overworking to fight the issue with the balance being off a bit.
So to curb this it would be necessary to suspend the loads on their own platform and drive the load ......to build a trike that would take the stress of fighting the load, contain it, and be able to maneuver it.
Imagine needing to move a 4x4 palate of goods and have a trike that could just back up to the forklift and load it on the rear.
You and your weight, combined with 500kg of cargo on the rear....in a Trike that weighs about 80lbs total.
