Bring your car with you on the family trip to LA from Chiraq, and have the benefit of a car that you don’t have to rent and don’t have to worry about driving all the way there. Use rail cars and connect small towns to cities and build a better feeder system. There is lots to do but everyone gets trapped in the “hur government passenger trains must turn profit instead of being a public service”. It won’t be the end of the world to have slightly higher taxes for an at least subpar service vs the shit stain we have now
