Guys I need some direction
I’m pretty tired of instructing, and have my hours to jump to the airlines. Interests change over time, and now I have zero desire to work at an airline. A freshly-hatched dream is to fly a Beaver in AK doing tours or charter stuff.
I have like 1200 hours, plenty of multi instruction given, and a 141 check instructor qual, but I don’t even have my ASES rating. What should I do to make this pipe dream a reality? I hear the ASES rating isn’t difficult to get, but I’m not at all familiar with what a good candidate for air tours looks like. I don’t imagine I’ll walk in the door with a newly-minted seaplane rating and walk out with a job.
