>>1449609u wot m8? that kind of thing has always been part of the unracer philosophy. hell, unracers are often against indexed shifting for that reason and are still grumpy about the original suntour going under. friction works and is easy to set up and repair. so grant sells friction shifters for the most part.
also I think that riv's clem is a pretty good bike for the price, if only because nobody else is doing nice steel bikes with cushy long chainstays. it's spiffy how they act like a bit of rear suspension. the bike is a bit too laid back for me tho. I suck at unracing
