>>1684012Ok to answer your actual question, an actual fast road tire, on par with 700c fast road tires, in 26" basically doesn't exist.
And it DEFINATELY wouldn't be cheap as well. The cheap part of your request is the most ridiculous one, if you want light, high tpi, low rolling resistance. You want it to be durable as fuck too right, because tandem? You're just delusional.
I was trying to have a realistic discussion about 26" tires. Relatively speaking between them there are faster and less fast. Weight and rolling resistance are simply different metrics. They aren't mutually exclusive, but if you look at pic rel charts, one ordered by weight the other by rolling resistance, of some better 26" tires, you'll see they aren't always the same. Paselas for example, and the heavier version is listed, are relatively light. A lot of Schwalbe tires are quite heavy with good rolling resistance.
For a fun slow beater, light tires would feel much better to mess around on. For covering ground on a touring bike it's probably the other way around. Seeing as you want cheap it would be helpful to say if you'd prefer light or fast, but I guess you want everything amazing and cheap right?
