Boondlogle it was not called though, as at least zoning was somewhat successfully syncronized with it.Taking about Helsinki Metro? I'd gone with stadbahn-like light rail but honestly I couldn't imagine Helsinki without it's iconic orange metro.
Sad the zoning along it was commieblocks, but end of the day it replaced tens of dozens of buses and hell lot of cars from the very busy Itäväylä and reduced overcrowding in trams between Kurvi and city core.
Now the same is going to happen with Southern Espoo when the western extension is going to be open, but seems like it's never going to happen since its constantly delayed, even though the stations and tracks and other stuff is already finished.
