250km/h+ in the rain is not safe at all, I know that and I don't care.
If I crash at that kind of speed, I'm dead.
If a 3000 kg SUV crashes at that kind of speed, the driver is dead as well.
Same goes for cycling more agressively, I just don't care.
However the average driver doesn't even know what risk he is taking, best example is when there is snow in the US and cages crash everywhere like pic related.
Some think that by having a truck, SUV or AWD they are safe in the snow, however none of this helps in corners or braking.
Hell, a subcompact FWD car with open differential on spiked snow tires is better than a 4x4 on all seasons or even summer tires.
(same goes for bicycles, GP4kS2 are great in the summer but horrible on ice)
