>>1839057>>1839059In 2020 I was passing through a tiny Ohio town, and I stopped in at the local bike shop just for the hell of it.
And the display case was full of OG Ritchey stuff. Like, it's been in there for 30 years. I bought a couple things (olde Sugino Autex crank bolts, a dank MOOTS wall poster, 1" threaded Salsa headset with roller bearings...). Lots of good stuff. The owner was kind of freaking out that someone was willing to spend some money. It was pretty clear the place was struggling, I didn't lowball him.
The guy geeked out because I was on a 91 Miyata 1000LT, with appropriate bits. He showed me around the back of the shop & everything. I remember he had a Bon Ami can by the sink, and the design was the label from my childhood.
Parts like that are still out there, holed away in little shops.
Pic is from the same trip, after I made it to the eastern shore.
