i carry picrel in my everyday kit - it has the expected hex and torx bits, an extender, chain tool and torque key. topeak makes one without the torque key if you don't want that.
personally, i think buying tool sets for bikes can lead to over-buying - you pay for some stuff you don't need to get most of what you do, and then there's always something extra to buy anyway. a complete tool kit is tailored to what you own and work on.
