It makes your kicks less efficient.yeah that's always a given, same reason why roadbikes don't have suspension. but it's a really miniscule difference akin to people sperging over how 100grams will impact their speed on a road bike.
The trade-off of maybe losing 5-10% efficiency in exchange of not having to feel any little pebble and crack in my wrists is more than fair for me. Not like I'm planning on covering very long distances on a 20mm wheeled scooter.

One of the main reasons to get a city scooter over pic related is the zero maintenance they require. I really don't want to keep patches and an airpump for every longer trip just in case. You pinch a tyre and then you got 15 pounds to carry around. No thanks.
