It's especially stupid seeing as the bike has 45mm of clearance so you could run full fenders. I think you'd actually have to remove the fenders to change a flat tire. Crazy.
Why they didn't just spec forward facing horitzontal dropouts is beyond me. That gives practically the same utility for tensioning SS setups. That or not have the concession to a derailer.
I would not dream of buying this frame to run a derailer, it's just stupid.
