this guy got a garmin mount onto it, they come in different widths but this one might be 14mm i think. i checked the handlebar again and the taper is so gradual i can get over 10mm of width past the grippy texture with a small amount of shimming. if my stem is 40+ mm wide it might get awkward though. maybe i could make a narrower clamp since the part that the light attaches to is a separate piece that's attached to the clamp with a screw.
