moving them if you feel any paranoia
spending at least $30 on a bike lock
having multiple types of lock applied to the bike at once (medium D lock for frame and rear wheel - small D lock or for front wheel - cable lock for seat)
leaving no empty space inside of D locks
looking around for the right objects to lock to (this is where cable locks have some use as many thin objects are too weak or hard to find)
hiding / locking your bike in a bush or somewhere obscure some distance from your final destination (this is both a good and a bad idea)
retractable key chain - or use very expenive combo locks
wire bike basket to keep the lock with the bike in between locking
of course there are other things like super gluing ball bearings into the head of Allen bolts
if people can not steal a bike they will take away parts
and if they cant do they vandalize
