I sanded my carbon fork for a repaint, then painted a layer of the colour without any primer. It worked great, seems to adhere really well without any chipping. However, the paint is not a sealant - water will get through to the resin. I wasn't going to clear coat as I wanted matte.
Have I fucked up? I read somewhere that carbon resin absorbs water and loses structural strength. Do I need to clear coat?
