I was installing tubeless on my tires today, and was dribbling my wheel like a basketball to seat the bead (as any reasonable person would’ve done) and my cassette just popped right out of the wheel, freehub and all? I was able to slide it back in, but that’s all, just slide it into place
Is this normal? I figure when on the bike and thru-bolted in, it’s secure, but is this normal disassembly nowadays? It pops open to directly expose the ratcheting mechanism and greasepack, wouldn’t that be bad for durability? (Obviously pretty good for maintenance if this is how it’s supposed to work)
I just feel like removing a freehub was a lot harder last time I was into biking
