Red Cannondale and white Müsing Anon here.
This is an old bike from "Bauer".
I bought it NOS for only 20 Euros in 2007.
This bike is from 1956 and was spared in a Berlin Bunker as a reserve during the cold war.
It's purpose was to make transportation of administrative governmental workers possible during a Soviet embargo against West Berlin that would eventually have caused a fuel shortage.
It has only one gear and a rear coaster brake and a front rim brake. Tires and tubes are still original and not cracked and made in Austria by Semperit.
Amazing how long lasting and good the quality of rubber tires and tubes were back in time.
I also have a bunch of black and grey 28" and 26" tires from the Swedish brand "Trelleborg" in stock that are from the early eighties. The rubber is still perfectly flexible and soft with no cracks and shit.
