Finally figured out how to get your stem aligned with the front wheel abso-fucking-lutely perfectly.
>get a ruler
>stretch a piece of masking tape across the front of the stem and measure and mark the point exactly between the two upper front stem bolts
>hold the ruler so the edge is along the line between the mark and the center of the top cap bolt and is sticking out in front of the handlebars
>move your head to the side until you can see a slit between the ruler and the side of the wheel
>move your head back to the middle slowly and watch the slit disappear. If the ruler/stem and wheel are exactly parallel, the slit will disappear all at once (instead of top to bottom or bottom to top)
>to make it even easier to see, turn the lights off and shine a flashlight on the floor while you do it
