the rest of the armed forces didn't went along with the rebellion (they were saving themselves for a bigger coup in '76) and attacked the rebel base with Douglas Skyhawk A4B, armed Hughes 500 choppers and Pucarás. i can't recall if also some Dassault Mirages.
I was 9 at the time, and climbed to the roof of my house to watch the bombing, straffing and maybe rocketing of the base in complete awe, to the utter dismay of my mother. it was a warning attack, bombing mostly the greens around the landing strips and a copuple of parked planes.
