Fellow germans, how was this weekend in the 9€-cattlecars so far? As a swiss i couldnt complain - the train trip to the eastern part was nice and most time the first class coaches were half-empty, as oppose to the plebs class full with noisy rugrats, mutts and other hoi-polloi who were too stingy to pay the 8 francs difference for a 1st class ticket. I didn't care about the events themselves, since the venues were also full with people - and i hate people. So I did rather go hiking in the beautiful nature of Appenzell, without all the riff-raff. And then i was lucky to have the opportunity to ride a historic train (a BDe 4/4 "Wyländerli from SBB Historic plus some EW1 coaches) from St. Margarethen to Landquart - that was really nice. The old cars indeed have more soul.
