>>1486665As I understand it, on a dingle speed you have something approximating a 2 cog cassette, with the cogs next to each other, and two chain rings. The gearing is such that both gear ratios involve the same number of teeth, so the same length of chain will fit both, and you manually switch between them by loosening your rear wheel in the horizontal dropouts, and swapping your chain from the outer cog and outer chainring to the inner cog and inner chainring.
