When I started with my company we still had 10 GMC New Looks and about 100 MCI Classics, they were smooth and nice despite being twice the age of any of the low floors. even the new lowfloors (New Flyer, and Nova) are jerky rattletraps.
How did they kill transit?
They make it impossible to keep a schedule because you have to put the ramp out for every fat asshole with a mobility scooter, and chain smoking welfare mom with a triple wide stroller.
Then the handicapped people it's designed for take the handy bus or taxi anyway.
I personally don't find much difference between low floor and the ones with steps.
