Lynskey Titanium Rear Cargo Rack
>Stronger than aluminum>simple design>no structural integrity failures from needing spacers or bending too muchAgain, it's for a singlespeed bike that's carrying 30lbs over potholes and bad roads at 50 mph (yeah one of those things). I've broken countless aluminum touring racks and the best rack I've had was actually a no-name steel PoS with adjustable spindly legs that would have the screws vibrate out. Worked fine if you tightened them periodically, even with loctite. I "upgraded" to aluminum because I fell for that superior metal meme. I have a graveyard of top-name touring racks that couldn't last 2 months. Some held up, but are starting to bend at the attachment points because of my axle's smaller size. Some just flat out crumpled under the load after hitting unexpected potholes at speed.
I think the Wald I ordered will hold for at least as long as the old no-name rack, and failing that or the ability to repair it I'll probably be going for this Lynskey. Money wasn't a concern and I would've gotten this in the first place if I knew it existed.
