Right now you're absolutely correct in that frankensteining a Shimano groupset together would be just as good, if not better, than buying a Sword groupset. You still might be correct when we find out what drop bar Cues stuff looks like whenever that comes out. But if Shimano is going to continue following frame manufacturers down the disc brake road and eliminating cable actuated brake levers from their groupsets, then Microshift will still be able to fill a niche for dummies like me who still like to see cantilever posts on his seat stays and fork blades.
